Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and EquaTalent FZ-LLC, a free zone limited liability company licensed by the Dubai Development Authority (licence no. 104331), HD47C, First Floor, In5 Tech, Dubai Internet City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("EquaTalent", "we", "us"). By taking the quiz, creating an account or buying a plan you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
EquaTalent is a referral network for job seekers. We match you with job opportunities and with members who work at companies hiring for your role. You approve the matches you like, and a member at that company can refer you to the hiring manager. Members can also refer other members to their current or former employers.
No guarantee of a job. Hiring decisions are made by employers, and each member decides independently whether to refer you. We do not guarantee any number of matches, referrals, interviews, job offers or any salary level. Figures and stories shown on the site describe other members' experience and are not a promise of your results.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You agree to give true, accurate and up-to-date information, including your CV, work history and work authorisation, and to keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Your profile and CV
You keep ownership of the content you give us. You allow us to store, process, adapt the format of and share your profile and CV with members and employers as described in the Privacy Policy, for the purpose of getting you referred. You confirm you have the right to share this content and that it does not break any law or anyone's rights.
4. If you refer other members
If you refer someone to your current or former employer, you do so voluntarily and must follow that employer's referral rules and policies. Any referral bonus is between you and your employer. Do not share confidential information of your employer through the service.
5. Plans, billing and renewal
- Paid plans are subscriptions. The price, billing period (for example, monthly or every 3 months) and any introductory discount are shown before you pay.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise these recurring charges.
- Prices are in US dollars. Any taxes required by law will be added and shown at checkout.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you by email before it applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time by writing to info@equatalent.com from the email address on your account, no questions asked. Cancellation stops all future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Payments for a billing period that has already started are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we decide otherwise at our discretion. If you believe you were charged by mistake, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will look into it.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: provide false or misleading information or impersonate anyone; harass, spam or mislead members or employers; use the service for any unlawful or discriminatory purpose; collect other users' data, or copy, scrape or resell the service; try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Our content
The site, software, design, text and brand belong to EquaTalent or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own job search while you comply with these terms.
9. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties such as payment processors and employers' websites and systems. We are not responsible for their content, policies or actions.
10. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will lead to a particular result.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, EquaTalent will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost earnings, lost opportunities or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we will refund any prepaid amount for the unused period.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, for significant changes, tell you by email before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. We will first try to resolve any dispute with you informally by email. If that fails, the courts of Dubai will have jurisdiction, unless the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim locally.
