Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data EquaTalent collects when you use our website, quiz and referral service, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. If something is unclear, write to us at info@equatalent.com.
1. Who we are
The service is run by EquaTalent FZ-LLC, a free zone limited liability company licensed by the Dubai Development Authority (licence no. 104331), address: HD47C, First Floor, In5 Tech, Dubai Internet City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("EquaTalent", "we", "us"). We decide how your personal data is used and are responsible for it.
2. What we collect
What you tell us in the quiz and your profile. Your work status and job search situation, target job titles, preferred countries and work locations, work authorisation, expected salary, career goals, your answers about referrals, your CV and professional background, and your email address. You also tell us whether you want to receive our newsletter.
Payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your name, email, billing country and city, the plan you bought, the amount and the payment status.
Device and usage data. When you visit the site we and our analytics and advertising partners automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages and screens you view, buttons you click, how you arrived (for example, from an ad) and similar technical data. Our analytics tool can record how you move through the pages to help us fix problems. Text you type into form fields is masked in these recordings.

3. Why we use your data
- To provide the service: to match you with job opportunities and with members who work at companies hiring for your role, and to arrange referrals. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To take payments and manage your subscription, including renewals and cancellations. Necessary for our contract with you.
- To communicate with you about your account, your matches and changes to the service, and, if you opted in, to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand and improve the site: to measure which pages work, find errors and improve the quiz. This is our legitimate interest.
- To measure and improve our advertising: to learn which ads bring people who sign up or buy, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested. This is our legitimate interest or, where the law requires it, your consent.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to comply with the law, including tax and accounting duties.
4. Who we share it with
Members of the EquaTalent network. To get you referred, we show your professional profile and CV to members who work at companies hiring for roles that match yours. A member decides whether to refer you. We do not share your payment details with members.
Employers. When a member refers you, your CV and profile go to the hiring company through its referral process.
Service providers who process data for us under contract:
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions;
- PostHog: product analytics and session recordings (data stored in the United States);
- Meta Platforms: advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. We send Meta your email address only in hashed (scrambled) form, together with your IP address, browser details, Meta cookie identifiers and the events you performed (signing up, starting checkout, purchase and its value);
- our hosting, email and cloud infrastructure providers.
Authorities and advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, and a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside the UAE, including in the United States and the European Union. When we transfer data abroad we rely on the providers' contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, and choose providers that protect data to a recognised standard.
6. How long we keep it
- Your profile and quiz answers: while your account or subscription is active, and up to 24 months after your last activity, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as UAE tax and accounting law requires, generally 5 years.
- Analytics data: up to 24 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, for people in the EU or UK, the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we use it, including for marketing and advertising;
- move your data to another service;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
Write to info@equatalent.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential: the site saves your quiz answers and progress in your browser's local storage so you don't lose them.
- Analytics (PostHog): cookies and local storage that tell visits apart and measure how the site is used.
- Advertising (Meta Pixel): cookies such as
_fbpand_fbcthat help Meta connect our ads to visits and purchases.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control the ads you see from Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The service is for adults looking for work. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, if the changes are significant, tell you by email.
